About Paula X. Rojas
Chilean-born community organizer, midwife and social justice trainer Paula X. Rojas was licensed as a midwife in 2014. Paula became a doula in 2005, after a traumatic birth experience while on Medicaid. In 2012, Paula co-founded Mama Sana Vibrant Woman. Paula served as Director of Education and Training at MSVW until 2020. Paula currently supports families at MSVW and LAMP as a community midwife while working on a national project linking birthing justice with police and prison abolition work. She is the mother of two amazing kids, Xue-li and Camino, and loves to dance!
About Dominique Adeniyi
Dominique Adeniyi is passionate about Black Maternal Health and improving birth outcomes for underserved folks in her community. She has many roles, serving as a Student midwife, Full Spectrum doula, Birth Photographer, and Program Administrator for a local nonprofit organization. However, most importantly she is a dedicated member of the birth worker community. As a mother who experienced her own birth traumas, Dominique has found healing by actively uplifting and empowering Black birthing folks.
